Dorothy Clegg
For 25+ years, Hawai’i has been Dorothy’s home base while navigating complex global organizations as a front-end operator. Through multiple mergers, acquisitions, and change initiatives, she has helped shatter glass ceilings, making the skies a friendlier place for women in command within the aviation industry. Her passion to make positive changes in her community and within various organizations has wended through assisting in the legislation of a ban on single-use plastic bags, collaboration on new policy and procedures to increase waste diversion, and earning a MBA in Sustainable Systems. Dorothy pursued and earned her MBA from Pinchot University because she was compelled to build a strong network with people who see the opportunity and role of business to build more resilient, sustainable, and equitable communities.
Today she is collaborating with corporate and industry thought leaders to develop comprehensive and cutting-edge sustainable business practices and models, which establish do-able, measurably effective strategies that reduce daily operational effects on the environment. Implementing these, innovative changes throughout organizations increase competitiveness, drive profitability, and mitigate future risks, moreover leaving the planet in better state for future generations.
Otherwise, she’s on the water outrigger kanu paddling. She still drives large complex jets as a Captain on the 787, or as she refers to it “Boeing’s Tesla”.
